Notarizing officers at any The Bahamas Consulates General abroad can provide a service similar to the functions of a notary public in The Bahamas.
The Consulate General receives individuals for Notarial and Authentication/Apostille on an appointment system. These documents are actioned by the Consul General and Consul on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of: 11:00am and 2:00pm.
The Governments scheduled cost for this service is USD $60.00 per Senior Officer signature and USD $20.00 per witness signature if provided by the Consulate General.
Under the Hague Apostille Convention, it is also possible to have a document notarized by a local foreign notary in the US and then have the document authenticated for use in The Bahamas.
